  • Is fluoride added to our drinking water? No. A trace amount occurs naturally.
  • How do I terminate my water service? Please call our office to make a request for termination of service. If no one is available to take your call, please leave your name, number, and forwarding address. We will lock the meter valve and take a final reading. Your final bill will be generated during your normal billing cycle and will be sent to the forwarding address.
  • How do I claim my refundable deposit? Your final bill will be deducted from your deposit, and the balance refunded to your forwarding address.
  • What information is required to connect to the water system? In order to process your application for water service, we need social security numbers, picture ID’s, and signatures of both adults in the household.
  • How do I report a leak or low pressure? You may call the office at any time. If no one is available to take your call, please call our operator at 601-528-1493 to expedite resolution to the problem.
  • What are your office hours? This office is open part-time. Please call the office for an appointment.
  • Who is responsible for leaks on the customer’s side of the meter? The customer is responsible for maintaining service lines to the meter.
  • How do I check for a leak? Turn all outside and inside water facets off; go to your water meter and observe the flow indicator. If the flow indicator is moving, you have a leak.
  • When are late fees computed on my bill? Your bill is past due after the 10th day of the month. If the 10th falls on Sunday, late charges are computed after the 11th day of the month.
  • How are late charges computed? A 30% late charge is added to your current bill after the 10th day of the month.
  • What day of the month does the water bill come out? You should receive a water bill on the first day of the month, unless the first day of the month is a Sunday or National holiday.
  • What should I do if I do not receive a bill by the third day of the month? You may call the office at any time to receive the balance on your account. If no one is present to answer your call, please leave your name and phone number, and we will return your call as soon as possible.
  • Where can I pay my water bill? You may mail a check or money order to the address on your water bill, or you may put a check or money order in the drop box at our physical address. If you must pay with cash, please make an appointment by calling the office.
  • Does the water system test the drinking water? All required MDOH bacteriological tests are performed on a routine basis.
